Our GreenStart programme is designed to raise awareness of the green sector and encourage unemployed individuals to take up good green jobs. The programme is fully funded and available across London & the South East, subject to eligibility. The programme is flexible and can be completed via distance learning and in the classroom.

Level 1 Award in Preventing Plastic Pollution

The Level 1 Award in Preventing Plastic Pollution introduces learners to understanding different types of plastics, their uses and to help reduce pollution. The subject of plastic pollution has been well covered in media and this qualification aims to help learners understand more about the subject and the impacts.

This qualification is achieved through a blended model of home based study and attendance in the classroom to sit a short multiple choice exam.

There is an option to study fully remotely through using invigilation software that requires the learner to have a PC/Laptop with a camera and a smart phone.

Level 1 & Level 2 Award in Environmental Sustainability

The Level 1 and 2 Award in Environmental Sustainability qualifications are designed to give learners the knowledge and understanding of the basic principles of sustainability and environmental impacts. These qualifications introduce the learner to key issues in sustainability, raising awareness of the topic and encouraging them to consider their role in helping to make sustainable choices. 

This qualification is achieved through a blended model of home based study and attendance in the classroom to sit a short multiple choice exam.

Level 1 & Level 2 Award in Understanding Carbon Awareness & Energy Management

The Level 1 & Level 2 Awards in Understanding Carbon Awareness and Energy Management qualification aims to raise awareness and change behaviour to improve energy efficiency, help lower carbon emissions and reduce costs. Candidates will gain the knowledge required to understand their accountability in changing energy consumption behaviour.

The qualification can be achieved through a distance learning model encompassing studying a workbook, available on-line and paper-based, and completing an on-line questionnaire to evidence the knowledge you have gained.

The participant is fully supported by one of our remote Tutors, who will also assess the work leading to final sign off and accreditation.

The awards are considered as short qualifications and will only take a few days to complete.
