Skills Training UK Ltd are a Prime Contractor for the European Social Fund and Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPs), engaging some of the most disadvantaged young people and adults in our society through programmes such as Skills Support for the Unemployed and Skills Support for the Workplace which we deliver with an extensive supply chains of local delivery partners including Best Practice People Limited, who are approved contractors on the following ESF contracts;

  • ESF Skills Support for Unemployed, Enhancing Apprenticeships SELEP

  • ESF Skills Support for the Workforce, SELEP

  • ESF Skills Support for the Workforce, Coast 2 Capital


Ealing, Hammersmith, and West London’s College is formed from five main colleges listed below, they offer a wide range of courses and locations right across west London.

Their mission is; To improve lives through education, training, skills and development fostering social and economic success.

WLC welcome people from all walks of life, with lots of different needs and goals – but with one thing in common.  Each has the desire to learn in an exciting, stimulating way and develop skills that will help them succeed. 

One element of this is to support unemployed and low skills individuals through our delivery partner Best Practice People. In partnership we provide short training programmes designed to improve the CV, Job Applications and ultimately the employment status of course participants.


We deliver [some] courses on behalf of the Bedfordshire Employment and Skills Service (BESS), part of Central Bedfordshire Council, who provide us with funding.  Courses are targeted to support residents in gaining skills relevant to the needs of employers in Bedfordshire or to meet health and well-being needs. Courses are free of charge, subject to eligibility criteria. Best Practice People are signatories on the Mindful Employer Charter and confirm our commitment  to the following values:

  • To provide non-judgemental and proactive support to staff experiencing mental ill-health.

  • To not make assumptions about a person with a mental health condition and their ability to work.

  • To be positive and enabling towards all employees and job applicants with a mental health condition.

  • To support line managers in managing mental health in the workplace.

  • To ensure they are fair in the recruitment of new staff in accordance with the Equality Act (2010).

  • To make it clear that people who have experienced mental ill-health will not be discriminated against, and that disclosure of a mental health condition will enable both the employee and employer to assess and provide the right level of support or adjustment.

Best Practice People are recognised as Disability Confident Committed and agree to the Disability Confident commitments;

Launched in October 2017, Employ Crawley helps local people access support, advice and guidance from specialist organisations in the town whilst providing one-to-one tailored support from a knowledgeable and well-connected member of staff.

Sometimes getting stable employment with prospects, retraining or even progressing to the next stage in a career can be tough. Employ Crawley is open to all local residents and aims to make navigating the world of work simpler.

We work in partnership with Best Practice People to provide work related training programmes helping individuals to move into work or progress into the next stages of their career.
