Best Practice People is a specialist training provider focused exclusively on the sub-contracted delivery of Adult Skills Fund provision. We work in close partnership with FE Colleges, Local Authorities, and large training providers—all of whom hold direct contracts with the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA). Our commitment is to deliver impactful, compliant, and high-value provision that supports both learner success and partner outcomes.

Delivering Against the ESFA Sub-Contracting Standard

Our training programmes are fully aligned with the ESFA’s expectations for sub-contracted provision, offering genuine added value and measurable impact:

  • Enhanced Opportunities for Learners

We deliver confidence-building, immediately achievable qualifications that improve employment prospects and self-esteem. A cornerstone of our offer is the Internet Intelligent CV™, designed to optimise learners’ online employability and job application success.

  • Wider and Geographical Access to Training

Our fully portable delivery model removes location as a barrier to learning. We deliver across the UK using high-quality, accessible conference venues near Jobcentres or within targeted communities. Every learner is equipped with a secure laptop and has access to our state-of-the-art virtual learning environment, ensuring a high-quality experience wherever they are.

  • Inclusive Entry Points for Disadvantaged Groups

Our programmes cater to learners from Entry Level 3 to Level 2, providing a clear and supported pathway into further education or employment. Currently, 58% of our learners reside in the top four indices of deprivation. We are fully committed to widening participation, especially among underrepresented groups and those with shared protected characteristics.

Niche, High-Impact Programmes Designed for Real-World Needs

Our training offer is focused, distinctive, and fully aligned with government priorities around employability, cost of living support, and labour market readiness. Programmes include:

  • Skills4Careers™ – A flagship employability programme designed to boost confidence, support wellbeing, and help learners build stronger CVs and job applications.

  • Skills4Living™ – Adds core life skills to the Skills4Careers™ framework, with modules on personal finance, budgeting, and reducing domestic energy costs — particularly relevant during the ongoing cost of living crisis.

  • Skills4Hospitality™ – Initially developed for Premier Inn, this programme supports employers in the hospitality sector and provides their staff with skills leading to increased responsibilities, promotions, and ultimately an increase in pay.

All our provision embeds Equality & Diversity, British Values, and mental health and wellbeing support to create an inclusive, learner-centred environment.
