Equality, Diversity & Inclusion
Best Practice People consider ourselves champions of equality, diversity & inclusion. Everyone is welcome to our programmes and we aim to create and equal, diverse and inclusive learning environments, where respect and acceptance sit at the top of our priorities. We have a zero tolerance policy on any form of discrimination in the classroom.
Radicalisation & Prevent
Traditional environments, such as schools, colleges, prisons and on the internet, can be breeding grounds for radicalisation. Whether it be the far right, Islamist, antisemitic or any other kind, it is important to us to ensure any form of extremist views are not present at any point in our classrooms. We are ambassadors of the UK Governments Prevent Strategy, designed to tackle all forms of extremism and will report anyone we believe is being radicalised or attempting to radicalise someone else.
Safeguarding
Safeguarding means protecting people's health, wellbeing and human rights, and enabling them to live free from harm, abuse and neglect. In law it covers children under the age of nineteen and vulnerable adults of all ages. In our view it covers everybody. We nurture a caring learning environment, where people can feel safe and free from judgement. We strive for a positive learning experience, where people demonstrate compassion and understanding for all people, regardless of any age or vulnerabilities.
